AAFE Community Development Fund is proud to partner with New York Cares in running an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) class at our Flushing office.
The class sessions run once a week and matches between 10-20 students with dedicated and energetic volunteers from New York Cares. These volunteers help build the speaking confidence of our students through simply holding a conversation and going over with them the nuances of learning English.
These students, after improving their English proficiency, have often gone on to successfully pass their naturalization interview.
